WHY CHOOSE NEXTERA?

Experience
Nextera Communications was founded in 2005, though its founder and key managers have worked together for over 22 years in highly succesful telecommunication ventures such as USLink (now TDS MetroCom) and InfoTel (now Integra).

The Leader in Cutting-Edge Technology
Nextera brings new technology and solutions to the market faster. Nextera is the first Minnesota telecommunications company to deliver data and telephony via a fully digital, managed IP (internet protocol) network infrastructure. This managed network environment provides a high-quality, carrier-grade solution. Nextera’s network is fully redundant with smart gateways located in Brainerd, Duluth, St. Cloud and Minneapolis.

Nextera utilizes the most current market-proven technology to implement its network and provides customers with Next Generation services like Hosted PBX and SIP trunking, as well as traditional (TDM) or IP services. This support of both traditional and digital era services uniquely enables Nextera customers to migrate from their current networking and telecom systems to the next generation of highly cost effective digital solutions on their own schedule.

A Vast Array of Products & Services
Nextera offers a host of services to its target customers, small to mid-size businesses, with some residual residential sales from business sales efforts. Products include Hosted PBX, Internet services (such as T-1, DSL, Wireless and Data Services), VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) and traditonal local/long distance lines. All products are loaded with free features for ease and flexibility.

Nextera’s unmanaged VoIP product allows customers anywhere in the contiguous US with a high-speed internet connection to utilize VoIP by means of an adapter. VoIP customers can sign-up online for service.  Included with the sign-up capability is a database identifying over 1600 cities representing rate-center populations of over 164 million. Customers can choose telephone numbers from any of the 1600 cities, no matter where they are physically located.

Innovative and flexible, Nextera can step outside its normal product catalog and find new solutions for customers needing an individualized product.

Expansion
As part of Nextera’s expansion plans, Nextera purchased the assets of Small Business Networks, a provider of hosted and managed communications solutions serving business customers in the Twin Cities area. Nextera also acquired the assets of StoneBridge Wireless Inc. which has an extensive wireless digital network serving the Twin Cities area. Nextera can be the primary access method or backup to current Internet connection over its wireless backbone.

Customer Service
Nextera believes good customer service is the lifeblood of any business. When customers call Nextera they will be greeted by a live person and routed to the appropriate department for fast resolution of any issues or concerns. Customers can also request access to the MyNextera Web Portal which is designed to be used directly by customers. Within MyNextera, customers can view account information, call data, billing and payment information, change 911 addresses, access Unified Call Messaging (UCM), as well as configure and administer calling features.
