Using your regular or cordless phone, your calls are sent through the Nextera-provided phone adapter.
Your calls then go through your router and modem (or equipment with modem/router combination). If you do not have a router, Nextera will provide an adapter/router combination.

Your computer should work as it did before you installed the Nextera Phone Adapter. The Phone Adapter simply allows both your computer data and your voice calls to use your high-speed Internet connection simultaneously.
Your Nextera service uses regular phone numbers. You can choose to either transfer your existing number or choose an area code of your choice from locations throughout the United States. The location can be anywhere you choose no matter where you are located.
