Greg Arvig
President and CEO

Greg is the founder, president and CEO of Nextera Communications. A proven entrepreneur and industry leader in Minnesota with more than 30 years of telecommunications experience, he began his career working in engineering and operations management for the Arvig Telephone and Bridgewater Telephone companies. Greg founded US Link, a regional long distance company, (sold to TDS) in 1986, and created InfoTel (now Integra), Minnesota’s first CLEC. Greg’s success and innovative vision led him to establish Nextera Communications in 2005, the first Minnesota telecom company to build an all IP-based network and switching platform. Nextera currently owns the largest fixed wireless network in Minnesota.

A graduate of Texas A&M University with a Telecommunications Engineering degree, Greg won the prestigious Aggie Award 100 two consecutive years in a row (2011, 2012). The award honors the world’s fastest-growing companies owned and operated by former Texas A&M students. In his free time, Greg enjoys the outdoors, sports, traveling, and spending time with family.

Scott Eichhorst
Vice President of Engineering and Operations

Scott has worked in the telephone industry for 25 years in long distance ILEC, and CLEC environments. Prior to his position at Nextera Communications, Scott worked for Arvig Telecom, CC&I Engineering, and was Director of Engineering for Arvig Telecom and the Vice President of Engineering and Operations for InfoTel Communications.

Scott’s reputation as a telecom engineering pioneer is the result of his broad range of skills in both engineering and operations. These include: consulting, plant mapping, construction management, central office management, installation/repair, troubleshooting and provisioning personnel. He brings a depth of engineering, networking and equipment knowledge to Nextera, allowing the company to provide businesses with next-generation technology and roll out new services faster than many larger companies. Scott’s hobbies include fishing, hunting and snowmobiling.

Becky Parker
Vice President of Marketing and Product Development

Becky has over 25 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, with positions that include Director of Marketing for USLink and Vice President of Marketing and Product Development for InfoTel. She brings a strong and diverse management skill set to her position and an attention to detail that helps Nextera consistently deliver high performance service. Her areas of expertise include product development/pricing, billing, customer service, operations, employee training, marketing, and regulatory compliance.

Becky’s knowledge of the telecom industry, FCC regulations, and back-office is utilized to develop, expand, and maintain efficient and effective departmental areas. When she’s not working, Becky creates stained glass art, travels, spends time on the lake, and enjoys time spent with family.

Dan Headlee
Controller

Dan has over 20 years of experience in accounting and finance, with more than 13 years of in telecommunications industry. Prior to joining Nextera Communications in 2007, he was the Finance Manager for Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota. In his position as Nextera Controller, Dan is responsible for regulatory reporting, accounting and finance management, and human resources.

Dan graduated with a BS degree in Business Management from St. Cloud State University and earned an MBA from the Carlson School of Management from the University of Minnesota. In his free time he enjoys camping, traveling, running, and fishing. He has been a finisher in Duluth's popular Grandma’s Marathon multiple times.

Gina Hoveland
General Manager

Before Gina was promoted to the position of General Manager in 2011, she was the Operations Manager for Stonebridge Wireless as well as for Nextera Communications. She has over 11 years in the telecom industry and a strong customer service background. As General Manager, Gina oversees Nextera’s wireless operations and service departments, negotiates contracts, and personally communicates with current and potential customers to ensure a positive experience. She is knowledgeable about telecom industry pricing, site surveys, bandwidth, Internet options, business voice and data requirements, as well as installation. In addition, Gina’s exceptional communication skills have helped the company create a long-term, loyal customer base.

Gina attended Normandale Community College in Bloomington and the University of Minnesota. In her spare time, she likes to travel, cross-country ski, and spend time with friends and family.

Kyle Anderson
Operations Manager

Kyle came to the United States from Australia, where he pursued a degree in Graphic Design at the Nepean Design and Arts Center in Sydney, NSW, Australia. He worked in Human Resources for IPC (Industrial Psychology Consultants) and as a Network Technician for StoneBridge Wireless, joining Nextera Communications in 2008 when the company acquired StoneBridge. Since then Kyle has performed various roles including network support, system design, administration, programming, and web design. He was promoted to Operations Manager in October 2013.

As Operations Manager, Kyle manages day-to-day operations, including: installs, repairs, and disconnects; training the operations staff; optimizing operational systems, processes and policies; ensuring fast and accurate troubleshooting; and the oversight and management of Nextera’s network systems, including servers and services relating to both internal and external use. His hobbies include computer programming and design, networking, and enjoying time with his wife and young sons.
