The Right Network

At Nextera we provide a portfolio of network facility options created to deliver superior IP and networking solutions at the fastest speeds with reliability and scalability, ensuring optimal application and business performance. Each facility offered by Nextera is effective, layered in security, and comes with a Service Level Agreement (SLA) guaranteeing network availability.

How do you choose the right network for your business? Factors to consider include bandwidth capacity, the unique needs of your company, cost, and availability.

Fixed Wireless

Fixed wireless offers dedicated bandwidth that's secure, reliable, and resilient to Minnesota's ever-changing weather -- with bandwidth from 1.5 Mbps -1 Gbps.

Nextera owns and controls the largest fixed wireless network in Minnesota. This independence allows Nextera to deliver high-performance symmetrical bandwidth with greater savings and faster installations than traditional Internet providers.

Fixed wireless is used for voice and data. Its advantages are numerous and include rapid installation, path diversity, low latency, private networks, Service Level Agreements (SLA) and more.

Fiber

Need speed? Fiber helps you get business done business faster via fiber optic technology. More technically advanced than DSL or Ethernet over Copper (EoC) cable, fiber provides more bandwidth and symmetrical connectivity.

Used for both voice and data, fiber’s high-performance capabilities can significantly increase business productivity. It offers connectivity that keeps pace with the heavy bandwidth requirements of digital communications, the cloud, and big data downloads.

In response to the growing need for bigger bandwidth, Nextera offers an expansive fiber network in the Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul area, Duluth and Hibbing. Businesses are provided with last mile local access that runs directly to your premises for high performance optimization of fiber technology.

Ethernet Over Copper

Although fixed wireless and fiber provide advantages not found in other technologies, they aren't always accessible everywhere. Widely available, Ethernet over Copper (EoC) offers an excellent alternative. It's a dynamic technology well-suited for small to mid-sized businesses.

EoC speeds range from 3 Mbps - 10 Mbps and easily converge voice and data. Nextera also provides an industry-leading Service Level Agreement that guarantees a network availability of 99.99%.

T1

With Nextera's digital T1 service, voice and data circuits can be combined on a single, high-speed T1 circuit to maximize efficiency and provide flexibility. Added components of Nextera's flex T1 allow customers to utilize the voice circuit bandwidth for data to "burst" to a full 1.5 Mbps when there are no voice calls.

We offer comprehensive T1 service to accommodate every business need. Service includes:

  • Integrated T1
  • Flex (Dynamic T1)
  • Bonded T1
