Feature Access Codes

Some features are available as part of the Advanced Feature Package. Features are also accessible for configuration via your MyNextera Online Account Manager.

Hosted Voice Customers: If features are activated or deactivated through the MyNextera Online Account Manager or the *(star) codes, your Polycom phone will not display your actions. If features are activated through the Polycom, the phone will display your actions.

Incoming Call Access Codes (click on a feature to view its description)

*60 - Selective Call Rejection

Choose up to 10 callers that when calling your number, will be rejected and receive a recorded announcement. To create or edit your list, dial *60 from your Nextera phone. An announcement will indicate the feature status, then a menu of options are available as follows:

- Dial 0 to hear the main instruction menu
- Dial 3 to turn Selective Call Rejection on or off
- Dial # to add a number to the list, then dial 01to add the last calling number to the list. (You can choose to add the last calling number even if the number was anonymous e.g.,the caller chose to withhold their number.)
- Dial 1 to review the list of numbers, then 07 to delete an individual number from the list.
- Dial 08 to delete all the numbers on the list
- Dial 09 to delete only the anonymous entries on the list.

Numbers can be entered in 10-digit or 7-digit formats (not 1+10 digits).

The Selective Call Rejection list can also be created and edited by accessing the MyNextera Online Account Manager.

*63 - Call Forwarding by Incoming Number

Choose up to 10 callers that will automatically be forwarded to a different destination number. To create or edit your list, dial *63 from your Nextera phone and an announcement will indicate the feature status. A menu of options are available as follows:

- Dial 0 to hear the main instruction menu
- Dial 3 to turn Call Forwarding by Incoming Number on or off
- Dial # to add a number to the list, then dial 01to add the last calling number to the list. (You can choose to add the last calling number even if the number was anonymous e.g.,the caller chose to withold their number.)
- Dial 1 to review the list of numbers, then 07 to delete an individual number from the list
- Dial * to delete an individual number from the list
- Dial 08 to delete all the numbers on the list
- Dial 09 to delete only the anonymous entries on the list

*65 - Caller ID with Number and Name Activation

Displays the calling party's number and name

*85 - Caller ID with Number and Name Deactivation

Cancels Caller ID so that the number and name of the calling party is not displayed

*70 - Cancel Waiting

Disables the call waiting features for one call only. Dial *70, then dial the number. While you are speaking with the party you called, you will not be notified that another caller is trying to reach you.

*72 - Call Forwarding Always Activation

Forwards all incoming calls to a different destination number. From your Nextera phone, dial *72 and then dial the number to forward to. Wait for an answer. The sequence (*72 and forward-to number) must be repeated if there is no answer at the forward-to number. All calls to your originally established Nextera phone number will now be automatically directed to the number you entered.

*73 - Call Forwarding Always Deactivation

Cancels the Call Forwarding Always feature. Dial *73 and all calls will be answered by the phone to which the Nextera service was originally established.

*90 - Call Forwarding Busy Activation

Automatically forwards incoming calls to a different destination number when your phone is busy. From your Nextera phone, dial *90, then dial the number to forward to. Wait for an answer. The sequence (*90 and forward to number) must be repeated if there is no answer at the forward-to number. When your phone is busy, the caller will be forwarded to the destination phone number you entered.

*91 - Call Forwarding Busy Deactivation

Cancels the Call Forwarding Busy feature. Dial *91. When your phone is busy, the caller will receive a busy signal.

*77 - Anonymous Call Rejection Activation

Automatically rejects incoming calls that have withheld their caller ID number. Dial *77. No calls will ring your phone if they have blocked their Caller ID.

*87 - Anonymous Call Rejection Deactivation

Cancels the Anonymous Call Rejection feature. Dial *87. All incoming calls will ring your phone.

*78 - Do Not Disturb Activation

Block your line temporarily to prevent incoming calls. Dial *78. No incoming calls will ring your line; instead, the caller hears a recorded announcement that the subscriber is not currently accepting calls. Outgoing calls can still be made as normal.

*79 - Do Not Disturb Deactivation

Cancels the Do Not Disturb feature. Dial *79. All incoming calls will ring your phone.

*92 - Call Forwarding No Answer Activation

Automatically forwards incoming calls to a different destination number when you do not answer your phone after a set number of rings. Dial *92, then dial the number to forward to. Wait for an answer. The sequence (*92 and forward to number) must be repeated if there is no answer at the forward-to number. Your phone stops ringing after four rings (or the number you establish within the MyNextera Online Account Manager) and the caller will be forwarded to the destination phone number you entered.

*93 - Call Forwarding No Answer Deactivation

Cancels the Call Forwarding No Answer feature. Dial *93. Your phone will ring until you answer it.

*97 - Follow-Me Activation

Activate Follow-Me service by dialing *97.

*98 - Follow-Me Deactivation

Deactivate Follow-Me service by dialing *97.

*310 - Reminder Call Activation

Automatically books a call that will ring your Nextera line at a set time of day. Calls can be individual, which are made once at a set time, up to 24 hours after the reminder was configured. Regular reminders can also be scheduled, which are made at a set time on specific days.

For an individual reminder, dial *310. An announcement will prompt for the desired reminder call time in a 24-hour clock format. Enter the desired time and then dial #. An announcement will confirm that the reminder has been set. To check the individual reminder, dial *313.

For a regular reminder, dial *314. An announcement will prompt for the desired reminder call time in a 24-hour clock format. Enter the desired time and then dial #. An announcement will prompt for the desired repeat option code. Option codes are: 1 for every Monday, 2 for every Tuesday, 3 for every Wednesday, 4 for every Thursday, 5 for every Friday, 6 for every Saturday and 7 for every Sunday. Enter 8 for every weekday and 9 for every day. An announcement will confirm that the reminder has been set. To check regular reminders, dial *317.

*311 - Reminder Call Deactivation

Cancels the Reminder Call feature.

To cancel all individual reminders, dial *311. To cancel one individual reminder, dial *312
To cancel all regular reminders, dial *315. To cancel one regular reminder, dial *316.

 

 

Outgoing Call Access Codes (click on a feature to view its description)

*52 - Call Hold

Allows you to place a call on hold and then dial another number. To put the current call on hold so that you can dial a second number, press the flash button or the hang up button. Dial *52 and then dial the second number. You can hit the flash button or hang up button again to switch back to the first number (putting the second call on hold), and again to switch back to the second number.

*55 - Call Transfer

Allows VoIP customers to transfer a caller to another number. To transfer a call, put the current call on hold by pressing the flash button or hang up button and dial *55. Wait for a dial tone, then dial the second number. Hang up your telephone as soon as you hear another dial tone and the call will continue as though the first caller had made a direct call.

*66 - Last Number Redial

Automatically redials the last number that was dialed. Dial *66 and the last number you dialed will be redialed for up to 30 minutes. Nextera will ring you back when the phone number is not busy. To cancel Last Number Redial attempts, dial *86. You can continue to use your Nextera number until your redialed number is connected.

*67 - Caller ID Block

Prevents your phone number and name from being displayed by the party you call for one call only. Dial *67, wait for the dial tone and then dial the number. The caller will receive your call but will not be able to identify your number or name. If your number is blocked by default, dial *82 to deactivate Caller ID Block. (To permanently block your calls, access your account through the MyNextera Online Account Manager.)

*69 - Call Return

Returns a call to the last party that called you, whether or not the call was answered. Dial *69 to hear the last caller's number and the time of the call, then dial 1 to return the call. If the line is busy, Nextera service will redial the number for up to 30 minutes and will ring you back when the phone number is not busy. To cancel Call Return attempts, dial *89.

*74 - Speed Dial 8

Enables you to call your party by dialing a one-digit code. Dial *74, listen for a broken dial tone (if analog line, otherwise proceed without pause), enter the one-digit speed code (2-9), followed immediately by the number you want to associate with the speed code, then listen for a confirmation tone. For example, to assign speed code 4 with the number 529-425-1970, dial *74, wait for the broken dial tone, then dial 4 529-425-1970 and listen for a confirmation tone. To make a call using the speed code, dial the speed code and then the # key. For example, dial 4#.

*75 - Speed Dial 30

Enables you to call your party by dialing a two-digit code. Dial *74, listen for a broken dial tone (if analog line, otherwise proceed without pause), enter the two-digit speed code (20-49), followed immediately by the number you want to associate with the speed code, then listen for a confirmation tone. For example, to assign speed code 31 with the number 529-425-1970, dial *75, wait for the broken dial tone, then dial 31 529-425-1970 and listen for a confirmation tone. To make a call using the speed code, dial the speed code and then the # key. For example, dial 31#.

*85 - Caller ID with Name Delivery Activation

Blocks incoming callers name and number from displaying on your phone by dialing *85. To reactivate Caller ID, dial *65.

*343 - International Call Block

Blocks outgoing calls from being placed to an international number. Dial *343 and wait for the announcement confirming that call blocking has been activated. To cancel International Call Blocking, access the MyNextera Online Account Manager and uncheck the International Call Blocking box.

*342 - Call Block (Outgoing)

Blocks national, international and mobile calls from being placed. Dial *342 and wait for the announcement confirming that Call Blocking has been activated. To cancel Call Block (Outgoing), access the MyNextera Online Account Manager and uncheck the National and Cell Phone box.
